Xkore beatport pro6/9/2023 ![]() "How much you bring in" is only one number out of many. I don't have the personal experience to chime in on this, but I do personally know a few fairly major acts across Canada, and this is what I've noticed. I've seen statistics about how much music producers make, but usually that refers to producers who produce other people's music the majority of the time.Īny promoters out there would probably have access to lots of producers and DJ's rates, and we could probably make a rough guess based on that. This question is also geared toward producers who tour on their music, not producers that own recording studios that record bands and singer songwriters. This isn't a production question specifically, but I imagine that many people in this sub hope they can one day live off their music, but still be able to do normal things like save for retirement, start a family, send their kids to college, etc. Let me explain a little, I'm not talking about the Tiestos and Skrillexes of the world making millions, I'm talking about more average artists who tour often, but aren't necessarily headliners at festivals, etc. If you believe your post or comment was removed in error, check the rules and include a link in a polite message to the moderators.Īs someone who's looking to the future optimistically yet realistically, I was wondering what people think that some mid-level DJ/producers make.
